I do my best to train myself to *live* in the present moment.

TODAY, I am so looking forward to the future and specifically, the beginning of 2015. We are so fortunate to know Heath Brodie, who is coming to Blackwood to create a special exhibit for our enjoyment. Camper parents, you may recognize this artist because Heath is the Kiwi artist that created natural mandala art with Blackwood Nature campers two years in a row.

Journey Artist is his alias. Heath Brodie is his name. His art uses local natural materials to create sketches, inks, sculpture and more. Heath is originally from New Zealand and now lives in Houston with his wife, Marisa.

His Winter/Spring 2015 exhibition at Blackwood will feature hidden sculptures and treatments to the land on a tour around the Post Oak Savannah, Pine Forest and Coastal Prairie ecosystems. Get ready to enjoy  food, libations and thought provoking natural art. Dates and details are coming soon!
