Donate
As a nonprofit, Blackwood depends on the generosity of people who believe in land-based education. Your gift keeps the gardens growing, the programs running, and the gates open to students and families across Houston.

Vonuteers
The easiest way to get your hands in the soil. Our weekly volunteer days are open to everyone, with no training or experience required. Spend a morning in the gardens, help wherever you are needed, and leave with dirt on your boots and a little more connection to the land.

Docent Volunteers
Ready to give more? Docents are the storytellers of Blackwood. With training and a regular time commitment, they guide visitors through the farm, from the straw bale house to the gardens and the kitchen, sharing how it all works. It is the natural next step for volunteers who want to know the land inside and out.

Membership
Membership is the simplest way to put down roots at Blackwood. Members enjoy a closer connection to the farm and help sustain the programs that bring thousands of people to the land each year.

Jobs
Looking for work that matters? From the fields to the kitchen to the classroom, the Blackwood team is made of people who care deeply about the land and the community it serves. See where you might fit.
