Through the generosity of the Blue Yak Foundation, Blackwood was able to purchase 10 acres to the east of our land. This land will be placed in conservation easement and used only for the purposes of sustainable agriculture. It will never be built on, with the exception of a barn for livestock.

One of our biggest donors and strongest partners is Johnny’s Selected Seeds. Every year they donate thousands of dollars worth of tools and supplies. We cannot thank Johnny’s enough for their continued support!

Looking to the future, Blackwood hopes to form an even stronger bond with Johnny’s Selected Seeds. In the upcoming years, we plan to join with Johnny’s and become a Texas climate test farm for their new seeds.
