Blackwood Skyfarm Volunteer Sign-up

Volunteering at the Blackwood Skyfarm brings the farm experience to the heart of downtown Houston. Set on the rooftop at POST Houston, the Skyfarm shows that meaningful agriculture can flourish in the middle of the city, and our volunteer days are open to everyone who wants to be part of it. It is a rare chance to garden with a skyline view.

On a typical volunteer day you might help plant and harvest seasonal crops, tend the rooftop beds, or learn how the Skyfarm sustains healthy soil and water in an urban setting. Our team is always on hand to share what they know, so you will leave with practical skills and a new appreciation for how food can be grown close to where people live and work. The tasks change with the seasons, and there is always something rewarding to do.

Skyfarm volunteer days are free and welcoming to all, which makes them a perfect way to spend time outdoors, meet like-minded neighbors, and give back to your city. No green thumb required, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to dig in. We hope you will join us on the roof at POST Houston.
