Janice is a volunteer on Thursday and has been keeping bees since 2008 when she started two hives in her backyard. She is now in the process of re-establishing her bee-keeping activity with her hives at a new location inside the Loop. She’ll talk about the history of the bees she has kept, basic beekeeping set up, what to look for, bee behavior, mating, propagation, hive “maintenance”, extraction and honey packaging.”
