Back to Basics: Principles of Living on the Land

March 27, 2021 @ 5:00 am - 10:00 am CDT

$25

The third and final week (March 27th) of our Spring Back to Basics Workshop series will focus on principles of living on the land. Our goal is to introduce you to basic skills that will help you stay comfortable and safe in the great outdoors, and begin to establish a personal relationship with nature. Guided by “leave no trace” principles, we will forage around our property to identify edibles as we gather firewood for the fire we will build together later on, then discuss water purification methods, how to pack and plan for primitive camping, and other tips for making your next backcountry adventure easy and enjoyable. Open to all levels of experience, but especially beneficial for those new to backcountry or primitive camping.

Whether you attend one or all of these workshops, our goal is that each participant leaves with a better understanding of what it means to survive and thrive as a human animal inherently connected to nature!

This workshop series is open to all age and experience levels and is part of our Back to the Basics for Adult Workshop Series. Learn more about the series here >>
