Open Air Market Overview

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2020

A Texas-Based, Food & Local Crafts Open Air Market

In lieu of our third annual Blackwood Harvest Hoedown, this year we will be adapting to the world we find ourselves facing and begin a monthly Market Series that takes advantage of the open, outdoor environment Blackwood offers. Once a month Blackwood will host local vendors, artisans, and creators, some familiar faces from Harvest Hoedowns of past and some new. And of course, as a fully functioning farm & kitchen ourselves, we’ll be supplying a wide variety of our own goodies ranging from delicious fresh from the farm produce to house made pastas, cookies, sauces, and seasonings.

Due to the interactivity that Harvest Hoedown offered, through the hay rides, animals for the kids to play with, and curated classes, we felt we needed to create and offer a new experience that would still allow our community to come and enjoy the property but safely and with care taken. Come in your own pod, be it family or friends, at your own designated time slot. Tour the farm, shop the range of goods provided by our vendors, and enjoy some time outdoors with the comfort of knowing you’re socially distanced. These current times don’t mean we have to stop having fun and living our lives, we just need to do so responsibly.

We’re very excited to announce this new monthly Market Series at Blackwood. We love our beautiful property and are always looking for ways to share it with you, the community. We hope by providing not just our own goods from the farm & kitchen but also from a plethora of other vendors you too are excited and will join us for our first Market on September 19th. Registration will be rolled out soon, in the meantime please feel free to share the word with your friends. Nothing is as powerful as word of mouth and we find that a little community support goes a long way. Vendor information will be released closer to the event, for now vendor registration is still live so if you know somebody that makes their own candles, soaps, goats milk, purses, or anything of the sort please feel free to let them know to apply. Vendor registration form can be requested by emailing cath@blackwoodland.org.
